Plenty more to come when the oil and gas rigs are set up off the coast of san pedro
Have there been any major earthquakes caused by oil and gas drilling anywhere? Fossil fuels will be needed for a very long time. Without them, the "alternatives" are not good for developing nations. But we could move this topic to another thread.

There is no connection.
Actually, some geologists see a connection for some types of oil extraction. But not major earthquakes. Which is why I asked the asked specifically about MAJOR earthquakes which are not connected to oil extraction methods.

Really and mother earth has communicated wtih you what they are extracting has no use to her and just a fossil fuel for us to use? Really !!!!
Your babble makes absolutely no sense. Perhaps you can verbalize better. At this point in time there is no fracking under seabed's, all oil and gas from under seabed reservoirs is extracted through other means. It is all organic anyways. https://worldoceanreview.com/en/wor-3/oil-and-gas/where-and-how-extraction-proceeds/

I was flying to the DR from California to live full time in Cabarete in 2003 at the same time the fairly large earthquake hit the Puerto Plata area. My wife was awakened by the sound of pool water sloshing. Our property was fine, but other locations in the Puerto Plata region suffered significant damage.

Nobody can predict earthquakes with certainty. It is not something I worry about.

Should we be worried here on the North coast? I’ve heard this island is shaking all the time.
In the BIG one....was it 2010?.... I felt nothing

The neighbors below me saw their pool slosh over and the house shake

I am on a clifftop - solid rock
A lot depends on where you are and your footing.
