Exactly how I would write it up.............if I too were an avowed Marxist/Socialist/Communist organization.

It will likely take two more dictatorships, a revolution/civil war, and another 100 years before they even begin to make any progress............and until that time..............publications like peoplesworld.org will continue to do what all good Marxist/Socialist/Communist organizations do............blame someone else.

Kind of surprised they didn't toss the blame at the French and Dominican Republic in there too.

Respectfully,
Playacaribe2
yes the French... the ones who never even talk about Haiti.........

Be specific, what economic imperialists?
I have told you to read once before.
You want a specific reference to a specific country:
Thread: Haiti needs to get the attention of the US
No need to read the entire thread.
Just Post #141
That isn't entirely true, you can talk about those economic imperialists all you want as long as it is about their activity in Haiti.
Thank you for you clarification Bob.
I now understand why you are true educator at the highest level.
He knows that. He doesn't want to get specific. Not sure why.
Oh really ❓
I also refer you to one of my favorite videos on youtube:
"The Wire - Happy Now ya...?"

Haiti is indeed a challenge. Its location on the map is basicly in the center and surrounded by wealth. And or wealthier countries.
The Haitian people are a distinct society . They have a unique culture that is different than any other country in the western hemisphere.
So we aught not think they can be goverened as are the other English and Spanish speaking countries.
Hence the interferences of other
More demonstrative Nations simply fuel the needs of the easy to relate to elete. And Haiti does have its elitists. Most of the elitists control movement of most of the money.
So where does it start?
Can Haiti ever obtain equality of their own Humanity as a first approach?
Probably not .
Several dr1ers have lived and worked in Haiti and from past threads i am to believe that the world view of haiti is indeed not entirely correct.
In my humble opinion Haiti has been a victum of international exploitation which include the AID Non Profit Organizations. Other big name foundations and yes even the imperialists ,capitalists and socialists. Its a freaking mess!🥶
I like what Bob quoted, "socialist programs are not necessarily socialism. Look at Democratic nations and the National bail outs of big business, unemployment benefits , stimilus cheques , free vacanations for all humanity.
I firmly believe that Haiti can rise up and become a player in the global community , but not as a puppet to stronger Nations.
Haiti has never reached its potential as a nation simply due to instability as a Government.
I believe Haiti is a paradigm ...that one day in a few decades it will take its rightful place in the Organization of American States. Providing those who fancy themselves as puppeteers cut the strings and help from a more sociable approach and not one of control...
We can all help Haiti in principle, but principles are short of action.
Wow, i am getting carried away... anywzy just some of my philosopical thoughts.

That would be wonderful, poverty pimps are too deep and make too much money off it for anything to change.

Between UN, NGOs and the parasitic Haitian Elite fortunes are made off the human suffering. Economic Imperialism is the least of their worries. Business cant get into to do business even if they wanted.

These are low iq, parroted instagram memes at best.

I am curious...are all the elites all over the world parasitic or is just the ones in Haiti ❓
If it is just the ones in Haiti your mission (should u choose to accept it Mr. rfp) is to explain to me why you think they are the only ones who are parasitic.

Just google the name Clifford Brandt to get a perspective on the ethics among Haitian excellence.

Elites in Latin America get first dibs on Infrastructure programs, Foreign Investment , Foreign Franchises etc. Its corrupt and the epitome of privilege, however it is utopian in comparison to Haiti.

In Haiti they are not even interested in stealing from Infrastructure programs because that would mean that you have to establish the program in the first place and that would be way too much work. Foreign investment gave up decades ago.

With the number of French speakers, how are there not BPO operations providing lower middle class jobs in the Capital and Cap Haitien ? With the Diaspora all over the world, how is it possible that middle class retirees and aspirational tech "nomads" never return ?

The Haitian Elite is truly parasitic, they contribute nothing that moves the country forward or provides value. Haiti needs Economic Imperialism, the United Fruit Companies' Banana Republic Model would be a good starting point !!

So, according to your post the fire is burning in Haiti and your solution is to throw more fuel on the fire by continuing the economic imperialism that has not produced anything better than the Haitian elites have done over the years ❓

At the very least the economic imperialists are partners with the Haitian elite propping up the system the way a certain country supported a dictator for 30 years in 🇩🇴 before finally not being able to stomach the murders of the three sisters and finally green lighting the hit.

Nope, the economic imperialists will not leave. Haiti needs to kick them out. Because they are making to much money with the current system. And money has no political alignment despite what the revisionists of this thread might think.

There is no Economic imperialism. The definition of Economic Imperialism is ;

a situation in which one country has a lot of economic power or influence over others:

What country has a lot of power and influence over Haiti ? They could only wish that there was American influence there. If there was there would be investment in Textiles, Manufacturing BPO Tourism etc all the things we see in the RD.

What we have instead of Economic Imperialism is a never ending group of self serving UN based groups that create nothing and pilfer funds from outside.

Haiti needs Economic Imperialism, they need foreign countries to bring investment, influence and industry. Sadly the Haitians have created such a mess that Economic Imperialism is a pipe dream at best. The only folks who go there are corrupt NGOs.

If your post was entitled, NGOs, UN etc should go home I would agree. The problem is that you are using a "Woke" term that you got of an Instagram meme.

Here we go again with rfp reverting to DR1 play #1
The Ad Hominem attack.
The play consistently run by those who no longer have anything to add intellectually to the conversation anymore.

You seem to post a lot of about being personally attacked or about trolls. We have Mods watching the threads. If you feel something is missed, use the report button and the Mods will action accordingly.

Accordingly does not mean the Mod will see it as you do but it will be looked into.

Thanks

it should be to the left of reply and like.

If you don’t see it there might might a ... or down arrow to click on and it should give you the option to report the post.

that will send it to the mod of that thread and AlterEgo and myself will also see it and we will make sure it is looked at.

You shouldn’t be trolled or attacked for having an opinion here.

Let me know if you still don’t see it and I will work on sending you a private message with screen shots on how to check your settings to make sure you have that option to report.

I don't have the report function either and I bet many others don't. It might be good if people checked and posted here if they also don't have it. I might be a systemic issue.

Perhaps you could post the instructions, not PM them. Is is possible that it has been turned off for new accounts with an update or something?

Carlos, I couldn't find it either. I'll probably never use it but I don't think it's there for a lot of us. FYI, I use Chrome.
