I installed a little light that is on only when we have street power. Hopefully this situation will not present itself often enough to be an issues for you, but I have found that little light to be useful over the years.

Edenorte says Cabarete is off and they are working on it. They must need more maintenance to keep it on.

Power on SOSU101 went out at 15:45 today.

Don't you have a main protection system or at least individual outlet protection? I've NOT seen any power surge at all.

Yes we have three stages of Surge Protection - Whole House, Load Centre, extra in the Invertor and this Fridge has a local outlet Protector as well .

So I am not sure of the cause yet - Fridge guy coming tomorrow so will update you on the cause!

Dr Solar. Fridge Tech said it was the Compressor gone. Getting a replacement and fitting today. Strange it was the compressor as there is a Protector on the outlet. Just checking it now !

No, still up for now. I agree that all of this maintenance is serving little purpose. Less reliable power than without it.

Maintenance is a red herring. EdeNorte wants you to think they are working to improve things, they are not.
It isn't getting better.
A single crew from the US could have strung new lines on all new poles from Puerto Plata to Cabarete in just the maintenance down time by EdeNorte this year

Legally, Edenorte is, or at least used to be, liable for that. But good luck getting them to pay.
Protecom was set up for such issues.

As for what is going on, that would be incompetence.
