North coast, east of Sosua.
Didn't know power was out until I read my systems notices. Batteries and generator worked great and didn't even know it until I looked this morning.

Over 4" of needed rain in 24 hours has added over 8k gallons of water to our back cistern and 6k to my front that means they are over flowing via overflow pipes. We harvest rain water from our roofs. Pools full too. Lol.

Love the cooler temps but will have a blanket nearby for tonight.

Really... all IS good.

I just checked next week's Edenorte maintenance schedule. It looks like the power will be off tomorrow Saturday Nov. 21 between 8am - 1 pm. pretty much everywhere in Sosua & Cabarete and everywhere in between.

No other outages for the rest of the week. Apologies for the late notice, but I got busy this afternoon and forgot to check for a new schedule until just now.

I'm not complaining, but Edenorte is usually pretty prompt with these scheduled outages. Now it becomes a matter of uncertainty while waiting. I got up early, made the coffee and got everything charged. Maybe they changed their mind or no one showed up for work this morning. Regardless better for me.

Power did go off on Cabarete circuit CABT102 at 8:20 AM today Saturday November 21. Hopefully it will be back on at 1 PM or sooner.

Went out in Sosua at the same time as it did for Windy in Cabarete. Like everyone else, now we wait.

Yeah still off in Sosua too. This is the hard part. Wondering when they are going to flip the switch back on.

Sometime today it should be back on. Were they installing those new north coast transformer upgrades today?

The maint. sched just said they were doing transmission line work. The story on the edenorte site restates 8 am - 1 pm. but they have clearly run into some sort of issue that has delayed them.

That was quite the expansive maintenance outage yesterday. Affecting many areas, rare for a weekend and it lasted much longer than announced. I hope the time was well spent and the work resulted in a more reliable distribution system for those who endured the inconvenience. Elsewhere in the country similar work is being carried out today on Sunday of all days. The notice below did not appear on the Edenorte site until well into the outage, however, the maintenance schedule posted on Friday on the same page did forewarn of the outage to come the next day.

No planned electricity outrages for maintenance announced by Edenorte north of Santiago from today throught next Friday Dec. 4.
