I need some help on this one. I want to buy for Christmas a couple of books for a 2 year old boy and a 4 year girl. Any recommendations? ( have the other gifts for them planned so no need for recommendations.) Would prefer to be able to buy here in Santo Domingo and not order on line.
TIA
Merry Christmas

Dominican children? At that age- and if they are Dominican I would recommend board books. These are books that have cardboard pages which are easier for the child to turn. They won’t tear a page and typically they are coated so crayon marks will wipe off. The text is usually simple as are the topics, such are colors, numbers, opposites, etc.

We have a lending library and for the 3 and 4 year olds this is the type of book they can select.

Cannot recall if I have seen them for sale in stores here. But they are available in English and Spanish.

Yes Dominican in Spanish. I like your idea of board books a lot. The 4 year old is a motor in motion 24/7 and I'm hoping I can keep her attention for longer than 5 minutes. Once she learned the word "chocolate" (from me) it's like chocolate is written across my fore head.
