There is a reason why prostitution is called the oldest profession in the world. Someone needs to come up with an idea to turn Sosua into a win/win situation to make everyone happy.
If the business leaders want the girls out of the commercial areas, off the street, they should convince
some hotels to become "adult" hotels. The girls come to the hotel, leave ID with front desk, go to restaurant, pool,
mingle with the Johns, make some money. When they want to leave they pay hotel a cut or flat fee, hourly fee
and go home. Hotel can build out a shower facility for the girls also. Not talking about brand name resorts, but smaller
operators. BTW where do most do their business now.....in a "massage parlor"?

that would be profiting from prostitution and that's illegal. it could fly if they'd call it a day pass or simply charged room rate to the girls.
It would probably be easier to name the places they don't do their business now.
we could always eliminate humans altogether
Computer generated serial numbers like bitcoins.
No more banks needed for distribution.
Electronic wallets.
Compared to current systems like USD: no much difference in serial number generation.
Coins could have a limited lifetime.
Regulation by algoritmn that could not be manipulated by an administration.
Currency not owned by a political administration.
Production of goods and distribution already is highly automated and will be much much more in the future.
Most of today jobs in transportaion (drivers), banking, amazon, agriculture, teachers will get lost the next years.
Humans are not needed, even if they would work for free.
The systems we were used to are currently collapsing.
I think time has come to act.

Oh, my.
I'm looking forward to seeing how bitcoins will somehow prove to be the solution that is so badly needed in impoverished countries. Kinda reminds me of "In Time" with Justin Timberlake (a very entertaining movie, btw).
What do you expect an 18 year old with a kid (most have) crying for milk, no money, no education, with no relatives having money, to do?
Any ideas?
Decent jobs: even for jobs in "zona francas" payment is rediculos low. Deduct transportation costs: modern world slavery.
A "morality sound" job requires a decent payment.

You're joking right, The whole island is damn brothel. car wash, stores, restaurants : it didn't take me long to figure out why the waitresses tell you what time they get off work.
Pimping is illegal, whoring is legal. It's made muddy deliberately. Something like it is legal to have sex for money but illegal to discuss a price before having sex. A man can offer a woman money after sex but a woman can not approach a man to sell sex. But third party pimping is just illegal which kinda makes places like Passions entirely illegal, but the law is also made muddy so that these places can operate on loopholes. Just like whole thing operates on a loophole.
It does get tedious when you realise that many of these posters have no clue what they are talking about and have probably only heard of Sosua through salacious gossip.
