Spent the holidays at Cap Cana and returned home wanting to share my experience with a new waterpark there. Let’s be honest—it’s overpriced, small, and simply not worth it, even with discounts for Dominicans. Who has $69 USD (or $4,225 RD) to spare these days?

My family of five, including my wife and three kids, spent nearly $400 in one day when you factor in admission and meals. Total ripoff. If they dropped admission to $39 USD for Dominicans, that would at least make some sense. Another surprise? No nearby hotels. You’re stuck driving all the way to Punta Cana Village or staying at the two high-end options in Cap Cana, which are out of reach for most budgets.

This park feels poorly planned. They need an on-site hotel, a bigger parking lot, and, most importantly, a larger waterpark with more attractions. Then, maybe the $69 price tag would feel justified. Honestly, building this in Cap Cana feels like a miss. If they had placed it further north, like in Downtown Punta Cana, it could’ve been a much better fit.

Overall, I’d give the park a C-. Why? A quick search on YouTube confirms what many agree on: it’s a small waterpark and too expensive.

Lastly, if you’re considering renting one of those private villas with a small house and pool out front, be prepared to pay at least $1,200 for a single day. For that kind of money, I could’ve gotten four nights at an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana.

Final thoughts: Just plain crazy.
