Just as the title says, Im looking for a person who knows about repairing an electric scooter. In Sosua please. I went to a motorcycle dealer and the mechanic told me he didn't know much about them but he would have a look. Thats not gonna work for me.

Oops. What are the symptoms.
I thought electric scooters were practically bulletproof?
Start with a volt-ohm meter

Wait till the Chinese EVs are stacked like cord wood at the only mechanic's yard who swears he knows how to fix them

I'm not a golfer, so forgive me if I'm off base, But aren't the golf carts electric? Maybe ask at the golf course at Playa Dorada or other for a recommendation...the electric stuff should similar enough on the carts and scooters

Had an issue with a Pride Electric Scooter a few years ago, they claim they have an office in POP however i believe it is sales and rentals only, they did send a technician down from Punta Cana and he was able to get it up and running again (forward/backward control was broken)

What did it cost to fix? That's an impressive outcome!

Not DR related but a battery 'vehicle' story.

Back when I was in junior college there was a student who came to school in an electric wheel chair. He lived a little beyond my house
I would occasionally see him on campus and going to and from school on my route.
As his battery got older apparently it didn't hold a good charge & he would get low on juice and I saw him sitting in his chair in the service bay of my friend's father's service station (remember when they did service?)
I asked my friend and he said yes he can't make it home so he stops at my dad's station everyday for a trickle charge so he has the range to get home.
Back then I made very little money from yard work and some hours working in a burger joint at $1.05 /hr.
I asked around and another friend's mother kicked in, my physics teacher and parents contributed and I put in $20 and the service station gave us a discount on a new Delco battery for the guy.
Never saw him sitting for a trickle charge after that.
