The Migration Agency (DGM) announced that all migration agents will be using the same stamp for entries to the Dominican Republic. The stamp replaces the “Admitido” stamp previously used at some land entry points.

The Migration Agency explained that the intent is to standardize the stamps used by immigration inspectors, optimize their functions, and eliminate any potential confusion regarding the entry process.

The new “Entrada” stamp is now being affixed to the passports of both Dominican nationals and foreign visitors upon their arrival at any immigration checkpoint in the country. The stamp is standardized with the date of entry.

I just noticed my passport already has the written days starting from 2022 so that is not new.

It looks like this is directed towards land entry rather than air entry, to standardize it. Apparently entry by sea or land had different stamp.

The thread title is incorrect. The article states that the length of stay will be handwritten and is not to obscure the entry stamp's date

Yes, very funny. All they have do is create a stamp with a space and have another stamp to place the date of entry and exit.
