Looks great - just what Las Terrenas needs, in my opinion. The only problem I see is that it's close to the sea for when the storms and beach erosion arrive.

Las Terrenas, Samaná.- The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, announced that the renovated Pueblo de los Pescadores in Las Terrenas, Samaná, will be inaugurated between February 15 and 20. In a social media post, Collado emphasized that the project will mark a significant transformation for the area.
The tourist zone was devastated by a fire in September 2021 that destroyed 16 businesses. The renovation includes a state-of-the-art fire-fighting system to ensure the safety of merchants, visitors, and the community. Collado and his team inspected the site to ensure the project meets the expectations of Las Terrenas’ tourism sector.
Collado described the renovation as a commitment to the future of tourism and the well-being of the local community, reiterating his excitement for the February unveiling of the new Fishermen’s Village.

Las Terrenas
it's getting there!

the road in front of the Pescadores was closed for about 2 weeks while the installed the pavers but now we can drive thru.

End of February is a more realistic date considering all the other work that still needs to be completed.

It's unfortunate the authorities are allowing this new road to be used by the huge dump trucks that go in/out of Las Ballenas. Road will slowly deteriorate if they do.

They should be allowed to use only that dirt road at the "Cancha de Golf" instead.

I just realized this was photo-shopped. The pool across the street is actually a condo building with parking.

You can also tell by the 2 fake chaises in the photo.

Why would they do this?
