this poor individual fails to understand the basic nuances of the debate. nobody is questioning the possibility of success for elearning. the question is 'will it work here?" that is why i asked him how much he knows about the local culture. a reply was not made

That is a totally valid question. I remember when I was newly arrived in the Dominican Republic, a dozen years ago, being shocked by a textbook I saw.

Business Mail does my mail forwarding, and I had gone to the office to pick up my mail. The employee was studying a Biology textbook in between waiting on clients as they arrived. Unfortunately, the diagram he was attempting to commit to memory was incorrectly labeled. When a textbook publisher is unable to properly identify the reproductive structures in a flower (something taught in seventh grade in the United States) it doesn't speak very well for the probability of academic success.

Profe, labeling the critical parts incorrectly is a horror story in and of itself. what is worse is when there is nobody to correct them..

what is the answer to the question you posted?

why?

all who posted against elearning said it does not work, no matter where.

do you think you qualify as naysayer?

urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=naysayer

You know the local culture. You are in DR for the putas, whores.

Most likely that is why you refused to answer when I asked you why you moved to DR.

Dont worry they wont get educated anytime soon, there will plenty around.

i did not answer you because it is none of your business.

just in case you are trying to solidify our impressions of you as a complete idiot, by accusing me of being here for the whores, you are wasting your time. it is obvious to all the readers here that you are an unrepentant jackass, and a rampaging moron. you have said nothing intelligent in all these pages of posting.

you have a major problem, among others, which is your penchant of wanting to argue with people who know far more than you do. when a guy who can barely cobble a sentence together wants to butt heads with someone who has left her mark on the education world, it tells the readership that such a person is in severe need of protracted sessions on a psychiatrist's couch.

"psychiatrist's couch"?

even the name you choosed is a red flag, stay away please.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorgon_(Dungeons_&_Dragons)
"A gorgon can breathe out a cone of vapor that turns creatures to stone. They are very aggressive creatures that attack intruders on sight, attempting to trample, gore, or petrify them. There is no way to calm these furious creatures, and they are impossible to domesticate. A gorgon is not very intelligent, LOL

'Gorgons, refers to any of three sisters who had hair made of living, venomous snakes, as well as a horrifying visage that turned those who beheld her to stone.' en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorgon

tell your doctor what others have been saying about you, post number 172 and 177

... see if he can improve your memory, you did say you like "putas"

I wont talk anymore about healh issues, my focus is elearning as good solution to DR educational problem.

Danilo with 84%, highest citizen support in the world, not only in America, as the article says.

dominicantoday.com/dr/local/2013/10/14/49270/Dominican-leaders-84-tops-the-Americas-in-long-honeymoon

he promised to 'do what never has been done before'

His plan for education most likely is helping him,

those who are not part of the solution are part of the problem. Like in anything else.

So......I just read most of this thread and I think that Empiric might actually be a computer or a machine of some kind......maybe that super computer from Jeopardy.... Or maybe he's the REAL Sheldon Cooper

While I understand his ideas more or less it seems like his idea is too ahead of it's time....especially for this country but with social networking and constant chatting and tweeting, video gaming, youtube, etc. 21st century children are different from 20th century kids they are very anti social.

Now is this acceptable behaviour....not to 20th century people but maybe it will be the norm for future generations. The disintegration of the family unit and economic situations play a big part in all of it

But young kids today don't know any different they've grown up with all this be technology and don't see anything wrong with it ( while 20th century people do )

Obviously special needs children are different and Empiric admitted this

Technology is changing how things are done almost too quickly

I'm quite sure in the not to distant future Empiric idea might be utalized much to the dismay of 20th century people.......but as my parents always said to my generation " imagine when these idiots are old and running things "

Remember nobody likes change ESPECIALLY older people ( and by this I mean anybody over 25-30 yrs )

I mean look at my handle DO YOU THIINK I LIKE CHANGE.....but life goes on
