I can only give you facts not what comes out of someone’s mouth.. Canada has the right to impose what they want and airline can choose not to fly there. Feel free to look for yourself.

Mandatory vaccination to board

If you’re 12 years of age plus 4 months, or older, you’ll need to be fully vaccinated in order to board:

  • domestic or international flights departing from most airports in Canada, including charter and foreign airlines carrying commercial passengers
    • Medevac flights are excluded, regardless of where they depart or land
    • Private flights that don't require access to airports with a vaccination requirement are excluded
  • VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains
  • cruise ships
    • many cruise lines require vaccination for children 5 years and older
Contact your airline, railway company, or cruise line about their boarding requirements and refund policies.

Thank you for getting the true facts... there can be a lot of misleading information posted here
It confuses people

Some need to be more careful about the 'facts'

I was reading on the government site that everyone over 5 years of age must be vaccinated in order to bypass the testing requirement.

How about calling the airline and seeing what they require, and checking on the Canadian government website to see what they require? Seems pretty simple

Astucia, My apologies for the incorrect information I posted in response to your question. I was sure of my facts at the time but I guess I wasn't sure enough or as sure as I should have been.

PULLEEZ - I started this thread to ask if anyone knew of anyone who flew out of Canada on a non-Canadian airline without proof of vaccine.
Simple question - do you know of anyone who has done this. YES or NO.

Not an opinion on vaccine rules, testing requirements, or any other bullsh!t. Just a simple YES or NO.

I don't give a rat's ass about anything else - nor did I ask about anything else.

No - I do not know of anybody

I flew out y'day from YYZ and had to go to the WestJet counter to show my proof of vaccine before being issued a boarding pass.

I wasn't trying to strike a patriotic nerve with my post, but when it comes to travelling, it's been a whole lot easier being an American than a Canadian.
Actually more accurate would be harder to fly in and out of Canada, but as a Canadian I have been to four different countries during the pandemic, without issues. My brother had problems coming and going from Canada and he was fully vaccinated with the Astra-Seneca vaccine ( approved in both countries).

Yes, in keeping it DR related, that's what I was talking about - Canadians flying in and out of here to Canada, and also what several hundred posts have been about.

For this reason I'm already looking for a second citizenship outside of Chinada, I mean Canada.

On the govt website they have already introduced a new mandatory proof of travel if you want to renew your Canadian passport. Meaning you now need to PROVE you actually plan to fly out if you want to renew your passport.

I anticipate they will be adding more terms & conditions over the next few years, most likely proof of Covid vaccine + your biometrics (facial recognition, fingerprints, etc) as requirements for passport renewal.

And I bet the sheep will just go along with it.

It's absolutely insane. Can't wait to get a second citizenship/second passport so I'm no longer subjected to these despicable, communist travel rules.

Get over it.
NO ONE is flying out of Canada on a Canadian passport WITHOUT PROOF of being vaccinated.

I just read through the current application form here, and stepped through the simple questions here and here, and see no such requirement.

There is a spot where you can enter your anticipated travel dates (including an 'unknown') option, and to my recollection it has been there a long time. Intended for those people needed expedited services if possible.

Please link to where you've seen the 'mandatory proof of travel'.
