Flying to Singapore, Malaysia or Hong Kong
Not true, as far as I know only the US and possibly GB want Visas to pass through the airport to another destination. This can be done easily.
Not true about NOT requiring visa for transit. Some time ago France instituted visas for transiting via France (without physically entering France), for Dominicans and some other nationalities (looks like they were able to sneak out form the Airport in Paris)... anyone who traveled via CDG knows there are some buses running around and it's possible to "accidentally" disembark in a Schengen zone terminal. Also every time I travel via CDG I seem to take a different path to get form one terminal 2 to another terminal 2...sometimes taking long pathways and escalators up and down... that airport is a navigation mess...

Interesting. Difficult but maybe it is possible. I have always thought there where more oppurtunities for Dominicans to travel than is perceived. The world is more than the US, Canada and Europe. But they have to save up a lot of money of course. But that seems to be easier for some than getting a visa to the promised lands. And they have to make sure they have money to get back on the plane and leave.
Argentina is easy for a Dominican to go to with no Visa. You connect through Panama. Or you can go to Ecuador the same way, with Copa.

Why are you inquiring about 3 different countries?
People typically have one destination point of arrival.
No offense but this sounds like your looking to traffic
something you shouldn't be. All of these countries have
very strict laws.
Knowing how Dominicans typically behave, I would not
recommend them traveling to any of these countries unless
its been properly planned with people who really understand
how things move in South East Asia.

Now with Aeromexico in SDQ we can reach Japan easily and the transit visa has no fee the application, saw the other day 1,399.00 rt to Tokio, i missed that because i was already booked a trip to Ecuador and Peru, enter to Ecuador was smooth being Dominican, but in Perú they send us to Inmigration office for a deepest check and creat a profile, asked me all normal questions on arrivals in igration, checked and confirmed my reservations, fingerprints, face pics, eye pic, email, phone number, etc, after that welcome Peru, asked if i decided to go back if i need to stop in their office and they said not that i already have a profile.
I heard that in MAD we can transit without visa too but do not have any confirmation that is correct the information.

I was just looking at taking a trip somewhere different with my wife. I would ask the question similarly because these are countries a Dominican can go to without needing a visa and I would pick the one that is easiest to get to and from. No ulterior motive needed. I would prefer a trip to the EU, she used to live in Germany, already has US and Canadian visitor's visas, but would still need to go to Santo Domingo to apply for and receive Schengen visas and I hate Santo Domingo.
That said, I am not sure Hong Kong would be a good choice at the moment. I have a second cousin, a banker from the US that quite work to go on a world tour and will look for another job at the end of it, that was just there for a week and he enjoyed it. His wife is Chinese.

Unfortunately Hong Kong's probably not a good choice right now due to the constant protest and unpredictable outcome. I would recommend Singapore possibly through Russia.
Congress here didnt aproved the deal with Rusia so will need transit visa for Rusia, As she has USA and Canadian Visa may Turkey works, is e-visa authorization so no need to go Santo Domingo, only need internet and credit card, totally agree with the warning of Hong Khong, now is not a good time.
True johne, I realize the initial thread is old and things changed, generally for the better for Dominicans to travel. Chile no longer being visa free was a disappointment. I have a friend living there and an open invitation to visit him. Now back to Asian destinations and ways to get there.
