Bravo now sells cottage cheese from their in-house brand.

Great news, Hopefully, other supermarkets will start carrying it. Breakstone's here is almost double the price in the US.

A 16oz tub of Breakstones cost 389 pesos in Janet's. Here's a 24oz tub of cottage cheese in Walmart's for 180 pesos:

I perhaps might not be the best person i ask. I only utilize it for increasing protein in foods i make. I do not like cottage cheese on fruit or crackers as others might. It has a smooth texture, not bad.

Sure doesn't look like real cottage cheese. I'm gonna take one for the team and try one if they have them here.

The Bravo here in SC has brought 5 different brands since they opened. Each time I'd buy everything on the shelf.

You'd think they would keep offering it.

When the new Supermarket Ines first opened, they had Breakstone and I bought all of them too. I even showed them in my cart to the owner and told him I'd be a steady customer if he kept bringing it.

Think that made a difference?

And while were at it, I have never seen a supermarket that overcooks their rotisserie chicken more than they do. Their chickens are Black. I id you not.

Says the person at the deli counter: It's just oregano and black pepper....trust me!

You really sing the praises of Breakstones cottage cheese. Maybe you've just been baking on an island way too long. Most commercial cottage cheese brands contain stabilizers, texture/flavor enhancers, tons of salt and flavorings (both natural and artificial). While Breakstones isn't the worst, it's clearly not the best. One thing in foods that's really sneaky and dangerous to the human metabolic system is a modified starch. In the case of Breakstones, it's tapioca starch added for thickening and stability (shelf life). It's also is responsible for that "creamy" texture that you have been singing the praises of for a decade or more.

Breakstone isn't my favorite at all. If you got the impression I'm singing praises for them I apologize for giving you that impression.

My favorite is from Cabot Creamery. And yes, that's one I bought in BRAVO. Who knew?

I'm getting ready to make my own very soon. I've got everything I need; just gotta get in the experimentation state of mind.

Uff, maybe you should make your own. Based on my recollection your house made breakfast sausage was simple, whole and delicious. That said, your Cabot cottage cheese is found with the following metabolic assassins:
Carrageenan
Locust Bean Gum
Guar Gum
Flavoring
Modified Cellulose
Maltodextrin
Potassium Sorbate
This would make Breakstones the lesser of two evils.

Get a cow and a lemon tree and you’ll have bio cottage cheese forever.
It’s disturbing how much rubbish is put in even the simplest processed foods nowadays.

So I went to Bravo today to buy cottage cheese. There wasn't any where they usually stock it.
I asked a manager what happened to the cottage cheese, and she said it was in the rack by the yogurt.
Went to the yogurt section, and no cottage cheese.
Wnet back to the manager who got a stocking kid, and we all went back to the normal stocking place. The kid says no, wait a minute, and we all go back to the yogurt section, and he shows me a package of Cream Cheese.
The manager tells me to contact Bravo on their Whatsapp, and ask for it and it will be here in a day or two.
Got home, wrote to the Bravo whatsapp;
"Hola, cuando puedo esperar el nuevo Bravo Cottage Cheese in San Cristobal?
"No tenemos in San Cristobal"
"Obviamente. Por eso estoy pidiendolo a usted"
"No estas disponible"
"La supervisora me dijo que solo tengo que pedirlo a usted, y lo va a mandar a SC pronto"
" El producto no esta disponible en la tienda, por eso no realizamos ventas"
"Yo se que no hay, por eso te estas escribiendo"
"Cada tienda tiene un inventario diferente, estamos escalando y vamos a tomar en cuenta la venta en ese sucursal"
"Gracias"
"Estamos aqui a la orden"

Still gonna make my own. Got all of the ingredientes on hand today.
