Former President of Haiti stars in Kompa Night at Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo announces the Friday, 14 May 2021 show of former Haitian President Michel Martelly (2011-2016). 60-year old Martelly is the creator of Kompa, a danceable genre. The show “Kompa Night” is part of the series of opening concerts at the Blue Mall night spot that recently reopened to the general public. This is a first time, Martelly will perform at a public place in the DR.

Known artistically as Sweet Micky, Martelly has several hit songs in Haiti, including Manvi Manjew, Decide ‘Ou, I Don’t Care, Pa Manyen Fanm Nan, Ou Fè Mwen Mal, Mon Colonel and Konfesyon.
