I didnt said where or how I got the idea, I was google about it and this video came up so I just share it.

Also, check this out: https://drpropertyguys.com/properties/hotel-investment-opportunity/

It's still for sale as I learned lot people still own these property so they can't demolish it. They said the owners let it run down and also other reason of 9/11 also the water septic system but I am not sure the real reason why it got shut down.
No offense meant ..
I did not realize English was your Second Language ..
but you clearly indicated in your comment that " looks like someone is taking over and remodel and fix it up and bring it back alive. "

I thought perhaps you KNEW something, we did not know.. cuz its not in the video.
the Video does NOT say anything about someone having taken OVER..
Its a SALES video only .. to try to sell the idea, the concept ..

Exactly, if the video is a sale video, means they WANT someone to take over and that what I am talking about and please don't criticism my language. Just respect and mind that.

I think if anything happens there, it will be studios and apartments. Honestly, I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Did you see the comment which said its an "Open Sewer" over there .. I dont know what they meant by that ( does a River flow out there, or a PIPE of some kind ?) ,..or it could be just made up propaganda,. it was in the Comments section on the U Tube Video..

Yes, a river/creek runs behind the beach.

The complex is in ruins. Not worth rebuilding. To purchase, demolish, clear, and build this site does not make sense. The whole coast to the west is still undeveloped for some 2 miles.
The problem is we can't demolish because I read somewhere lot people still own these properties (apartments) unless someone is willing to shell 100M of dollars or more to clean it up then other 200M easy to re build a new one. You might look at 300M at least for a brand new revive resort.

One of my favorites has always been the Hotel Reina Cumayasa which was even nicer than Sandcastle, smack dab in the middle of nowhere.

My ex and I spent a night at Hotel Decameron in Juan Dolio too. Now abandoned as well.

Another one that will blow you away is Costa Pacifica in San Pedro. Thankfully, we never stayed there. lol

Here I found 3 abandoned in Juan Dolio so I'm not sure which one your pointing to though.

Now for San Perdo, I think I found this former resort:

Great pics Miami Guy,I enjoyed them. These former resorts are what a Cat 300 series excavator is designed for. Concrete that is not protected with paint and protected from humidity (air conditioning) degrades rapidly.

I did not know that. always wondered why they weren't fixed up.

I’m convinced you’ve laid your head on every pillow in DR, you could definitely write a book. Be sure to change the names to protect the innocent 😇
I was quite the explorer in my day. I've visited every town in the country at least once except for Monti Cristi, and I've been itchin' to drive up there now that I've got some free time. :D
