Four new Constitutional Court judges

María del Carmen Santana de Cabrera, Eunisis Vasquez Acosta, José Alejandro Vargas Guerrero and Manuel Ulises Bonnelly Vega / El Caribe

The National Council of the Magistracy (CNM) appointed Eunisis Vasquez Acosta, Maria del Carmen Santana de Cabrera, José Alejandro Vargas and Manuel Ulises Bonelly Vega to the Constitutional Court on Friday, 22 January 2021. The CNM also confirmed Francisco Ortega Polanco as judge of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ).

The judges will replace Wilson Ramirez, Katia Miguelina Jimenez, Hermogenes Acosta de los Santos and Ana Isabel Bonilla, whose terms in the Constitutional Court had expired in December 2020.
