Luis Alfredo Rivas Clases (El Cirujano), sought for his participation in the shooting that almost killed Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz on 9 June 2019, was murdered when driving a vehicle identified as a taxi in Santiago. As reported, he was shot on Av. 27 de Febrero in the Las Colinas sector, in front of a mall.
