That said, we know the boy is lying because innocent people don't recant 3 distinct versions of a tragic event they witnessed nor do they wait 48 hours to come forward.
Not necessarily.
After a day/ night of drinking it can be rather challenging for most people to recall events that did or did not occur in the early AM hours in what could have easily been 24 hrs of nonstop drinking/ partying.

Anybody going to swim in this beach where FOUR men drowned 6 weeks ago in the condition shown in this video is in deep trouble real quick. This was clearly a drowning......NO DOUBT. ............Thanks to JD for breaking this case............

No Doubt at all .
It happened right after she refused his Advances , and he immediately put her in a Wrestling move Choke Hold .. and then she drowned
All by Accident .. I believe it

U should be on the Jury .

Nope. But thank you.
Are saying after all these years of being told alcohol intoxication can lead to temporary or sometimes permanent memory loss...
they have it all wrong?
Surely you jest.

As I said in a previous post, whether or not the possibilty of foul play may have been involved prior to her drowning remains to be seen.

Devil’s Advocate: what if he was dead drunk on the beach, passed out? Woke up at 10 or whenever he went back to his room. Didn’t hear from the girl, thought maybe she was ghosting him. No clue she was missing?

I seriously doubt the hotel tells guests upon registration that four men drowned on the beach. Tourists would be oblivious to that

that is very possible..
If I were him then I would volunteer for a Polygraph immediately.
But I think he made advancces on her and she refused .. so he could be ashamed of that .

By ALL accounts he is NOT a suspect. They are holding his passport and he is in a hotel and cannot leave while this is playing out. And by all accounts he is cooperating as best he can......

I never said that they knew about this, just pointed out how dangerous that beach is. The Hard Rock is right next store and they put up a red flag most days and have lifeguards that will not permit guests to go more than a few feet from shore. It is really dangerous........

These time frames keep changing. I thought he reported it later that afternoon(?).
I remember that way also........And once that video was posted all the "rhetoric" hit a brick wall ....

Just curious, why do some think this was some diabolical murder scenario? Having even a little to drink, swimming in rough waters at night could easily cause someone to drown.
Simple. Some people here can NEVER be wrong and fuel this nonsense..........Look at the video. Does it look like a potential murder plot?...........

The hotel insists the electricity blackout had nothing to do with this. However, there are reports guests couldn’t enter their rooms and many left the hotel for outside because of it. Was her group one of those? I think they’re trying to cover their butt for any upcoming lawsuit.

This hotel is at the bottom of the AI's in PC. They charge less and you get less. Not a place I would recommend...........And to add the liquor they serve is not what the label says.......Can get sick very easily, which contributed to this tragedy for sure.........

Being familiar with that area, that beach, knowing it can be rough (and normally is) both day and night (red flag out almost all the time) I lean toward accidental drowning.

I have been in resorts when there is a blackout (and no water), it really is not that uncommon in Punta Cana. Some have more than others. All the talk about the blackout, I think it just happened to coincide with this incident. If you look at reviews for this resort, there are a number of issues guests have with staying here.

The article says the lights went out at 1:27am and were out for two hours, so the blackout would have nothing to do with this.

Since you are asking
Simply because , a Girl like her ( unless she is an Olympic Swimmer who loves Challenges)
, does NOT go for a SWIM in a ROUGH OCEAN ......ALONE , with him Passed out Drunk on the chair ,.
Which would be AFTER he just got tossed by a wave , hard enough to Throw up on himself ( his words)

Or was he in the water with her at same time ? when , before he got tossed , or after ?
There are not many other Scenarios

Not challenging you

but try to write out a Scenario where her Entering the water and drowning, and no one including him ,has any idea she just got sucked out to sea .
Sketch it out .. it wont work
