Thank you, AE. I'm surprised I've never seen that page.

Then again, I'm not on FB much any more.

I suspect they're right. This is the same general area where the 5 tourists drowned a few weeks ago.

She'll either wash up on the beach in another day or two, or never be seen again.
Same exact thing happened to one of my best friends back in November 2021,tho it was in Cabarete not Punta Cana..
and YES, he made the list of "missing" foreigners who landed on DR1 only to turn up dead a few days later. They found his body about a mile from where he was last seen taking a dip. Sucks.

I really think this government needs to start letting tourist know (since tourism is their bread and butter) just how dangerous some of these beautiful beaches really are.

The water in east Cab. is super dangerous. There was a big hotel there that went under. No one could handle the strong surf.

According to the NYPost this young lady was last seen around 4:50 a.m.

Question:
Had she been up all night drinking, dancing and partying like most tourist her age who vacation at these resorts (ive heard plenty of crazy stories) or was she up/ out early for a morning stroll?

The OT said she went to the beach with a "guy". Where is this guy?
Nothing has been said about him, other than he was in custody and cooperating.

Since I'm still guessing, I'm gonna say he was with her when she ran into the ocean and got swept away, and he doesn't know how to swim so he went straight to the police station and turned himself in.

I'm surprised there's been nothing reported about his story.

My wife told me 10 minutes ago, police said they found a body 7 miles north of where last she was seen but not sure if it is male or woman. Stay tuned
So, I will assume this turned out to be false?

I think your right. The water (beach) in that area can be rather rough. It is also fairly dark, not a lot of light at night. To the left would be the Hard Rock which has more lighted beach area but going toward the right is Occidental Caribe which has very little light at night.

RIP young lady. The story has hit the news in the U.S. I see choppers were out searching. The missing is from one of the highest earning zip codes in the U.S

This young lady was not casually out for a stroll on the beach at 04:50 and decided to take a dip in the ocean to refresh herself and then got carried out to sea by a rip current. On spring break? So she was most likely intoxicated and hooked up with some sketchy locals, who knows maybe even a Haitian wandering the beach at the same hour. It's still pitch dark at that time as well. As JD said up, it smells to high heck no one has reported in a better detail of events. Just like sad Daryl in Cab years back (or Natalee Holloway)
