20-year-old college kid at a 'spring break AI', lots of booze and irresponsible behavior at 'oh-dark-30'; have seen a few news blurbs on cable TV, very surprising and naive that CNN/FOX/other cable outlets actually think that this country has competent and professional Police

Tell me what any Police agency can do. They have the only witness in custody, they have whatever video exists, and there is no body. What more?........

When my good friend drown back in 2021, my first thought was foul play because he was a gym rat and really in shape however after video from a restautrant security camera (the same restaurant he'd eatin at with mutual friends a week prior) was produced, we had to accept how he passed.

Not saying foul play can't be involved however drownings happen in this country more othen than I think most folks realize.
yes but it's starting to get Dominican weird because now they say they found her clothes on a beach chair sounds like the cover up is in motion

It's just an opinion but I doubt it. There are numerous drownings in Cab every year due to the dangerous rip currents of Cabarete Bay. They are reported instantly.
I was going to ask, WHEN , has there ever been a Drowning gone UNREPORTED for Days ??? has that ever happened ?
especially when there were witnesses swimming with the Person, because there is no way she went in alone.
Human instinct is to seek Help immediately, no ? Or do people just not care about another Life any more .

My guess is that if she drowned, whoever was with her was scared to come forward (I'm picturing around the same age, on vacay in a foreign country, not thinking clearly, etc etc). Not the best decision obviously, but I can see that happening

I just can NOT see it ... Adrenaline is Pumping so hard
There is always HOPE she is alive ...especially if you dont see her body
Try to picture it .. she goes under .. What is the first thing you do .. You Yell for Help . You dont just jump to
Oh its probably too late , let me just sneak out of here .. I just cant see it .

Or she met with FOUL Play, and its a Fake Drowning to cover it up, and the body is somewhere else .
To the dismay of narrative pushers, this is not a case of "a car drove into a crowd of shoppers". Btw, I see the name of this guy she met at the resort who is under questioning is Joshua Steven Riibe. He has allegedly recanted multiple versions of his story. (noticiassin.com)

Mr Riibe's 3 different versions of the incident have sealed his guilt in my opinion. The narrative pushers (i.e. victim blamers) should be ashamed.
So this guy kills her and decides to stay right there on the beach until 10 AM. Why try and get away after a murder. Just sleep on the beach. After all you are on vacation.................

I am not sure about people blaming the victim but even you have to admit going swimming at night in the ocean is not the best idea. Whatever happen to her, it is sad for her and her family. Not something a parent wants to hear about their child.

There is no Wow Hijo, they are young, when we were young, we did things thinking nothing could happen. If the guy is changing his story, clearly there is an issue. In these cases sometimes we never know the truth and that is sad for the family.

I read 3 variations of the same story, not 3 different stories. A lot is the same. Also the answers they got relates to the questioning and the amount of intoxication this guy still had during the first and later questionings, which affects memory. A drowning seems more plausible than this guy staying on the beach for hours after a committed crime (and why and how?)

Or maybe he left the Scene , got rid of the Body at another Location,, and then came BACK to the Beach at 10 AM. so he can Pretend he simply Passed out drunk on the Beach and she was gone
.. and her Clothes were placed there as " Proof" . ?
Sometimes the scenario is more simple than you think

The Dude who killed that Girl in Sosua . literally carried her dead body OUT of the Hotel, put her in the trunk, and drove her to another Spot, to Dump her.. and then had some ridiculous Alibi which did not hold up..

The body has to be found to figure this out ,

What an asinine comment. The suspect in question could have done something in the water and well... you know where I'm going. You have no more evidence of no foul play as others, including myself have of foul play at this time. Bottom line is an innocent person witness to a drowning, doesn't come up with 3 versions of the story, all equally sus and then wait 2 days to come forward.

Didn't the security cameras show her last time being seen at that the beach, her friends going back to their rooms, and then the guy later going to his room? Be kind of hard for the security cameras not to see someone carry or moving a body. The Riu is between the Hard Rock and Occidental Caribe. As the sun starts to come up you will find several people walking the beach, out on their balconies. That is one big wide open beach area, not a lot of places to hide a body or move a body.

The sus claims he dragged himself out of the rough cape Hatteras style waters, vomited then collapsed on the beach, where he remained passed out for hours. Then he wakes up and goes back to his room. Come on! No normal human with a face could believe that
