The video shows her walking to the pillar, bending over quite low for a few seconds, and then walking back in and toward the bar. It looks like one of her friends checks on her or maybe just speaks to her...can't speculate much on that, It looks like she has a purse over her right shoulder, It never really looks like she is using her cell phone...if she did, it would have been in her left hand, I think. My guess is she did indeed vomit, but can't tell for sure from the video. Doesn't really matter much, as I doubt anyone is claiming she wasn't drinking.
This is the video I am talking about not yours. On the way to the beach. Watch and then tell me she was in any condition to swim in those waters. Drunk........

Exactly! No definitive proof she was vomiting. Given her genteel upbringing, I highly doubt she wouldn’t go to the bathroom to clean up after vomiting, despite the fact she was drinking. Most young ladies I know have their cell phones welded to one of their hands. Rarely do I see them carry it in their purse.
One more time. This is the video to watch. Walking to the beach drunk...... Watch it........

Again not definitive enough. Her staggering could be due to her efforts to assist her drunken friend. No question she was drinking the night she disappeared. Both videos confirm this. How intoxicated she was and whether it resulted in her drowning hasn’t been confirmed and can’t be confirmed definitely by the videos.

If she was pulled over driving a car in the US and had to take a field sobriety test she would go straight to Jail..................

My gut will never not tell me that an innocent man would, after that dramatic wave and rescue story he recanted where he didn't remember when he woke up nor think about the girl, walk to his room and not go directly to the front desk to report the incident. No amount of drug, alcohol or magic fairy dust would let me pass right by the front desk and sleep it off.
There are sins of commission and there are sins of omission.

Personalities aside, and also taking into consideration that you have proven over the years that your experience in the Dominican is profound and many of your posts have most likely helped newbies and old timers alike, might I say you have gone full blown victim blaming here. I realize you feel this young girl drowned. It is in fact a strong possiblity, but can you just for posterity take the edge off a bit.

Take the edge off it? I guess you want the family to feel much better with your theory that she met a guy and the guy violently killed her as you stated many times. They will sleep much better if she was murdered than die in a tragic accident................Pathetic............

There is only ever one version of the truth. My own theories of the incident are focused on the conflicting accounts of the boy and his mind bending decision to go back to his room and sleep it off as opposed to stop at the front desk and at least inform them of this "dramatic" rescue attempt he recounted to police. Which leads me to another concern and that is why he didn't come right out of the water and go for help immediately.

You are the first one to throw around the word personal attacks sir, but adjectives like "pathetic" do not help your case any. And yes, I feel you are doing a bit of victim blaming. Your Glock doesn't trump my take on the events sir. So you may as well take a deep breath.

There may be some truth to it. Your impression is correct. If she was Muslim, or Hindu for that matter, the consumption of alcohol would have been forbidden and she probably adhered to that when she was in the presence of her family. On her own, a long distance away from her family, partying with a group of her friends with free alcohol readily available, I wouldn’t be so sure. A medical career track is a lot of pressure for any student. She may have used alcohol to relax and vent.
Correct .. thanks for spelling it out for the Slow laners .
And if she did drink, she was a LIGHTWEIGHT Drinker at best .. ( we tried to explain it like 5x already)
Which yes, even 2-3 drinks could make her PUKE , and become unsteady on her Feet. That is a mathematical Certainty.
If she was doing shots ( which is the social Media Rumor) then there you go . no way she was holding down shots .

This Victim shaming tho by Sky and couple others here is just nauseating.
I really hope the Parents are not seeing this .
This was not some Floozie who drank every night and then did not even have a hangover because she would know to Start drinking again in the morning .

2 completely different type of drinkers . even on Spring Break

Spring Break does not turn Amateur Conservative Girls into Drunk SLUTS
The ones who fit that description, already are, before they arrive

Have you ever been to that beach? You cannot swim most days at that beach even in the daytime. They put up a red flag and life guards are there to see to it no one goes out past a few feet from shore. Drinking and driving is dangerous, drinking and going into the water here at 5 AM is deadly........................

SO then WHY would a Dude who is literally a LIFEGUARD back Home, GO IN such water WITH her , Both Stinking Drunk as you claim , over and over
Why would he do it ?
Answer a single simple question for once .

Question, have any of you gone on a spring break vacation? The excitement of being away from family, etc. Maybe she was not used to drinking, maybe it did not take much to get her to a "drunk" stage. Next question, have any of you been to that area of beach in Punta Cana? It's rough, most days the red flag is out. Maybe she was not used to being in water that rough. A rogue wave can come in and knock you off balance (personal experience). Even with minimum alcohol it may be harder for someone to maintain their balance. If the guy with her had much more to drink, then it is possible he wasn't fully comprehending what was taking place or the seriousness of her situation in the water. I can imagine being questioned for hours/days on end; someone's story may change depending on the questions asked. Getting a lawyer does not automatically mean you are guilty of something. This is a sad situation for the family, both families.

They were on spring break, young, etc... Sometimes you do things never thinking of the consequences. People do it every day in Punta Cana, just not everyone has the same outcome.

I'm replying to you because at least I know you come from a place of emotional stability and reason.

Any party in this absolutely should seek legal counsel, that shouldn't even be in question.

Is it possible the young lady drowned? You bet. Is it possible that the boy tried to save her and had to basically give up due to fatigue or sheer exhaustion? Yes. That does not, however, trump the fact that the boy gave multiple conflicting accounts to police and made the mind bending decision to walk past the front desk in light of reporting the events and going straight to his room and sleep it off. There is no investigator whether PN DICRIM, FBI, Interpol or otherwise private, that would not be weighing this against the boy's credibility. Furthermore, not only did he not report this, he only gave the first account when questioned by police later in the early evening that same day.

Sure, it's possible the young lady was intoxicated and drowned, but from an investigation standpoint, the boy's actions and stories leave significant doubt, enough so to keep the investigation going and him detained.

Why not? He was drinking and still thought he was OK. He was with the girl, they both go in. Only he swims a lot better than her. Just a tragedy. But to say he violently killed her for no reason is totally ridiculous.................

No one has said this. There is zero circumstantial evidence for someone to be able to make that statement. Can we consider he may have done highly not Kosher things? Absolutely. What members have posted is that the boy's conflicting accounts and subsequent movements later that morning, are indicative of someone not telling the truth.

Any reasonable investigator would have to consider as a possible outcome that the boy could be involved and/or responsible for the girl's disappearance
