Back in the 70-80s it was rare to see one.
Now same in China:
Rate of diabetes in China “explosive”
"Rates of Type 2 diabetes in China have exploded in the last couple of decades. In 1980, less than 5% of Chinese men had diabetes. Now, more than 10% do. This increase has been largely driven by unhealthy lifestyles – diets that are too high in sugar and fat, and people not getting enough physical activity"
Almost all people in areas where profit maximation is the primary driver of food supply are affected.
Even young people with blood sugar in the morning around 90 (up to 100 considered normal) are already on the way into diabetis (insuline resistance), normal should be around 60 according to Dr. Ekberg.
Nutrition should be teached in school along with what money is but this would lead to wrong thinking which is the reason it is not done.
