We held kindergarten graduation at Colegio Fuerza para el Viaje. Thought you might enjoy a couple snippets of our kidos.

Graduation!
I got gypped. I never got a kindergarten graduation ceremony.
That first video though! How you managed to get so many kids to work in tandem is incredible. Talk about herding cats LOL!
These kiddos are 5 and 6 years old! The hardest part was teaching left and right. We did everything from putting X's on the right hand to tying ribbons on the right leg. Still, as you saw in the video, some went around the wrong way. Did you see the poor overweight girl in back who could not cross her legs? The little girl who fell off her chair? Or the boy who decided to jump off the chair twice instead of once? It took 2 months of practice and a good lesson in patience for me! But was worth it in the end.
Those little missteps are nothing for kids that young. I've sung in choirs over the years, and you have no idea what a challenge it can be to get some ADULTS to process down an aisle, break left and right, and take positions on a riser. Kudos to one and all involved, especially those wonderful kids!
And this is exactly why your support was
valuable and produced results. All our 9 children on scholarship (the majority of families living on less than $200 a month) fared well. And as of graduation, no one could distinguish the children on scholarship from the others. Their academic results recorded are the same of children of middle and upper class families.
A couple of notes. We will continue to work with these children as they enter the public system. We are providing transportation for them to a small community with a multi grade school (one room schoolhouse) and an excellent director and I personally will go work with the children twice a week to reinforce their English language skills and ensure they are learning at their level.
And one more note to for you loyal and successful child sponsors, as these children graduate to the public system, we once again need to provide scholarships for incoming children.
For our sponsor here on dr.1, please know that your funds were used with much respect for your sacrifice and we worked especially hard to receive impressive results with these children who are the most poor. They will never be able to thank you. But I can and I respect you for your part in helping the future of humanity.
