I'm coming back to the DR for 18 days to gather information in order to make some long term plans. I have an interest in visiting any gymnastics training facilities/centers on the island. I would really appreciate any information/leads from anyone who has any knowledge about this topic.

Thanks, Carlos.

When I lived in SD (95-99), the only place to get gymnastics training was at the Olympic Center, arranged through the Federation. Things may have changed, but I would start there. There was also a gymnastics program run out of Club Naco at that time, but I know little about its quality and one had to be a member to participate.

Another suggestion: ask HB. He seems to know quite a bit about different types of sports training in the DR....

Hope this helps.

The new facility was built for the summer 2003 Pan American Games. It is located in the Parque del Este sports city, to the east of Ozama River.

Thank you...

Keith and Dolores. Since I'm spending a week in Santo Domingo, I'll find my way to the Olympic training site. I've been in contact with HB; the man knows about everything. Thank you once again, Carlos.
