I've heard from 2 guys now that I know in okap (Cap Haitien) who have told me that some gang members have vocalized they want to go into okap. I really hope not. I would hope that guys like them, late 20s, are the ones that need to band together and lot let that happen. More news if I hear anything else.

I'd be curious to know what will happen in Cap Haitien regarding to this matter indeed.

They need to compile a list of names for the bad actors and neutralize them.
That’s what Trujillo did to settle the regional fighting which was keeping the DR unstabled for a long time. He captured every single gavillero in the interior and were suddenly dead. A problem the DR had for a long time was swiftly solved. The DR became stable again and that is the reason why in Santiago they built the Trujillo Peace Monument (aka, Monumento a la Restauración.)

But that can’t be done today because it would violate the rights of the criminals who themselves have a very obvious opinion on what they think of the rights of the average person.

I say if you don’t care about other people’s rights, excuse me for not caring about yours.

If the locals don't want the gangs coming to Cap Haitien, then they should be proactive. Highway 3 from the capitol comes up through some pretty rough country. Lots of perfect locations to set up an ambush or three. Many spots to block the road with hillsides adjacent, where large rocks and other projectiles could be set up in advance. A couple of these attacks will seriously dampen the will of the invaders. It's all up to the locals.

A few days ago, the UN evacuated their observer staff from Port Au Prince because the gangs expanded their control of the area. The UN said it wasn’t safe to keep their staff posted there. No surprise the gangs are expanding their control but I find it surprising since the UN kept their observer staff at their post in the Lebanon- West Bank area during the Israeli military air strikes and incursions. They were hit by gunfire several times. I guess the Haitian gangs are a tougher nut to crack than Hezbollah. Maybe it’s just politics. Haiti probably ranks lower on the UN priority list than Gaza- Lebanon. Just one more sign of the Haitian intervention unravelling thread by thread.

I'm certain this collasal waste of US taxpayer dollars will come to a screeching halt in less than 60 days. There's even a dedicated audit department under the new administration that will help abate this painful bloodletting of cash.

Not that anybody mentioned AI during the campaign, it is however going to come in handy at crunching numbers.
