I guess my main question is what did they think was going to happen? Coming across illegally what did they think? I know desperation over clouds thinking but what were the options?

No migrants remain at a border camp under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas, where thousands of mostly Haitians amassed in recent days, the DHS secretary said Friday.
"About 2,000 Haitian nationals have been taken back to Haiti, and about 8,000 returned to Mexico voluntarily, DHS said. More than 5,000 people will go to removal proceedings or be expelled through the Title 42 public health law."
