Gestor...for ONAPI purposes... A person/entity that handles name registration (power of attorney). It can be a lawyer, accountant, or oneself, but must be a DR address. That's all that's to it.

Therein lies the most likely problems of DIY incorporation in DR ...misinterpretation...and perhaps misinformation....if and when you hit an obstacle during the process.

No, registrant can be anyone. The "gestor" (the one handling the registration process) must have a DR address. It can even be any foreigner temp renting a condo. This is in place so in case the person handling the registration process has to come in personally for something, you are in-country.
