Greetings Douglas! I have lots friends from countries nearby China - Hong Kong and Taiwan. They love the Dominican Republic and admire how committed it's citizens are to ensuring that their country will forever remain a Republic. Not just in name but especially in practice and regardless of any outside influence (lots of countries have the word 'Republic' in their name but aren't actually so.)
