Interior and Police Minister Faride Raful announced on 3 December 2024 that the country’s accumulated homicide rate for 2024 has reached a historic low of 9.58 per 100,000 inhabitants. The minister highlighted that November has seen a significant decrease in these incidents.

Raful noted that there were even two days in the last week of November with no reported homicides, contributing to the overall decline. This figure marks one of the lowest rates in the past eight years, at 8.2 per 100,000 inhabitants.

The minister shared these statistics following a meeting to monitor the results of the National Security Plan led by Vice President Raquel Peña.

Where are the statistics register in detail.
The government rejects anyone who goes to report a crime either at the police station or the fiscalia.
The fiscales prevent people from seeing the judge when you file a complaint.....like I have filed in San Pedro de Macoris.
