The Ministry of Public Health says that the home Covid-19 tests now sold at Dominican pharmacies are strictly for personal use and information.

Deputy Minister for Collective Health Eladio Perez says that the tests done at home are not valid for labor purposes.

Likewise, only certified labs can issue the valid certification of results that are needed for work or travel purposes. Certified labs have been charging RD$1,800 for the antigen test and upwards of RD$4,000 for the PCR test. The antigen home test kits are selling for around RD$300.
