I feel privileged is what I want to say, thanks Chiri.

No, no speech. Just for future reference.

No, that means privilege (noun), and the stress is on the e - privilegio.

Es un privilegio - it's a privilege.
Me siento privilegiado - I feel privileged (stress on the a).

Thanks, I wasn't questioning you Chiri. I just wanted clarification :) ;)

Larry
In common talk, right or wrong, I say, Me siento dichoso, which means lucky, or honorado, meaning honoured.
Privilegiado may go over the top of a few heads.

Blogs are for women and for men who are border line sissies. People who actually want to promote themselves write blogs. Leave the blogging to little girls while men engage in discussing western philosophies while drinking with buddies on a Sunday afternoon.

You're a woman, so you can't quite magine how men perceive men who write blogs.
There could be special circumstances, ie, a man is going to Haiti to do volunteer work in a groundbreaking capacity.
He will only have access to the internet for 15 minutes every 3 days, and there are a dozen interested parties in the project.
For practical reasons, he might have a blog to keep them all informed.
Something like that makes sense.
Whereas a man who suffers from "Look at me" or "I'm a hero" syndrome, is quite sickening to most men.
Any man who really thinks another man is interested in what colour socks he chose to wear today, or what new coffee table he bought, or how he found a good deal on spinach, is a bit out to lunch, IMHO, and weird, at best.

you men have so many hang ups.

now the look at me blogs--for women, it's ok--but the hero blogs make me a little vomity as well.

sorry to hijack this thread.

what internet exists for you all? Mine seems a lot more diverse I guess.

Like I said.
It's a man thing. Being a woman, precludes you from understanding our perception of it, just as we cannot understand some women things.
Some of these blogs sound rather effiminate, and others have that "hero" tone.
Both are revolting, to most men.
PS: Also apologize for hijacking.
PPS: Like that beer commercial, where the giant beer can falls from the sky and squishes the man, and they say, "Men should act like men".
