Don't be concerned. This is your tax $ at work. They have to do something after being bored with Pokemon Legends.

What a joke. The case rate in the DR is 1/10 that of the US and no one in the DR has died from covid for 20 days in a row now.

It's no deaths for 27 days in a row, not no cases.

Great, but I still have to pay money for a cobi test in D.R. to get back into MY country. I'm sure the labs are hoping this nonsense never goes away.

The US isn't requiring this, correct?

Every single traveler going back to the US needs to complain loudly to everyone possible. At the lab, at the airport, to their Congress person, to the American consulate. Otherwise it will never end.

The U.S. IS requiring this of citizens. The airlines, acting in their capacity as agents of the federal government, are required to enforce it. Non-citizens need to show proof of vaccination. The only exceptions are illegal aliens who are not required to be tested, vaccinated, identified, speak English, have money, or have marketable job skills.
The rapid test cost me $33.00 last trip. That's almost $100.00 in the past year AND I had to buy my own cell phone and plane ticket!
