My boyfriend and I will be in Cabarete from September 1-11. We'll probably take a day trip to Sosua as well. My boyfriend is awesome and I'm not at all worried that he'll go off with a hooker, no matter how sexy those Dominicanas are (heard they're pretty good-looking!) But I am worried about how to politely inform them that he's not interested.
Do the ladies respect when a man is there with his wife or girlfriend? Or will they approach anyway? In the event that he/we are approached, what is the best way to decline.
I know how I'd handle a similar situation here in the US! I don't really take kindly to people disrespecting me and hitting on my man, and I don't have a problem expressing that. But I recognize that I'll be in another country with a different culture, and I'm not trying to start a fight with some scrappy Dominican putas and get my ass beat! Any advice is appreciated!
