How will you spend Christmas/New Year in the DR

This new year it's 40 to 50 of our closest friends doing grilled lobster, beef, pork and a bunch of Dominican food. In a private setting.

No parties here. My kid is cooking chuleta and papas. We have beer and wine in the fridge. His brother just came over so it will just be the 3 of us. We have heard a few fireworks already.

Bananas
Salad with three types of sliced grapes and orange slices

We all skipped pan de telera as we wanted to watch our carbs...
It’s usually the first thing to get eaten out in the table, if there. Then you use it to scoop and clean the leftover sauce off the plates...

We also skipped the usual fruits like apples and grapes, as the choice and flavors are not there this year. Maybe it wasn’t a great year?
