Huelga in Los Brazos

Today is probably not a good day to plan a trip over the mountain (via Jamao) to go to Santiago. There is a strike in Los Brazos, the community just below us in Jamao. The roads have been mostly blocked and the word I just got was that they were going to make things "mas calieinte" later today.

If you must go to Santiago, it would be best to head there via Puerto Plata.

The strike is against the water company, Corraa Moca who has not supplied water for some time.

Good for them. Is it the entire town?

Yes. All of Los Brazos. Jamao. Palo Roto. Most the communities on our side of the mountain up, almost to the guard station.
