I can't help feeling sorry for all the. . .
Ok its fair enough to criticize them and I am
sure there is lots of room for improvement.
I thought there was something missing here in the video. Other than a lot of outrage, baseless, unsubstantiated accusations, and profanity, that idiot offered no other explanation of what was going on. You could clearly see, people further back on the beach were not being hassled at all. This guy has an agenda and, as a reporter, this clown is a huge FAIL.
WHAT VIDEO ARE YOU WATCHING?
In Mr. T's foolish video, ZERO TOURISTS are involved, NONE.
In the beginning of the video a few EMPTY beach chairs were moved away from the edge of the beach to where ALL the other businesses had their chairs in compliance with the CESTUR directive. The only person bothered was the worker at the end of the video complaining he had to move the chairs back away from the edge. He should have followed the directive like the majority of the other businesses.
Then, two local Dominican kids surfing in defiance of the CESTUR directive had their surfboards confiscated, again, for not being in compliance.
No stealing beach chairs, no stealing surfboards, no "shaking down Tourists". Just enforcing s simple directive which lasted all of fifteen minutes.
Really not much to see here, let's keep it moving.

Were you THERE on that beach yesterday, or are you BLINDLY subscribed to Mrs. T for her information/updates/trip reports?
Along with the required subsidized bar/chica tabulations for her.
Are you even HERE within the confines of the RD, or do you watch from AFAR? Does it really cause complications for YOU personally? Was it your surfboard CONFISCATED, not STOLEN? Was it your beach lounger CONFISCATED, not STOLEN?
From Bayahibe, to Juan Dolio, to Guayacanes, to Boca Chica, to San Cristóbal, to Baní, to all points west along the southern tier, ALL know and are aware of the ramifications of not listening to the local authorities during this most difficult trying time for ALL.
What is so hard for SOME for following rules/regulations in place? Why does this generation have such a problem with such?
Lead paint? Or is just a problem specific to the "Everything ________" communities along the northern tier?
The southern tier has had an acceptable cohabitation with the local authorities, and we do not seek/see problems/issues/conflicts/errors as such.
For this we are thankful. Perhaps some would like to emulate this correct model of life.
Again, for the record/historia, I am against the curfew in ALL aspects, but I am a law abiding citizen of ALL the nations I hold citizenship within, and will adapt and adjust as the situation presents itself.
The majority of this fella's videos are negative. He did one a few months ago about police chasing down chicas. Quite vocal regarding some (of what i call) Dominican issues. Perfect example what happens when we forget we are only a guest. I'm surprised he hasn't been reminded of this by the authorities. If this were Thailand he'd a been tossed out a long time ago.
There is a high surf advisory in effect for the Atlantic coast but I never heard him mention it during his rant. This advisory says folks need to stay out of the water.
Won't argue the fact most PN are scum
but these tourist police Rent-a-cop looking stooges are just doing what they've been told to do by a bigger group of *ssholes... always rolls down hill.
This was/is my point, even if my post-PGA tour inspired retort towards Mr. Jack Daniels last evening was a bit on the harsh side.
These agents enforcing the rules are only following the orders of their higher ups. I truly can not see how any rational person can align themselves with Mrs. T's drunken/ski slope driven outburst.
Newsflash for many.....
Yes the curfew will be lessened by 2 hours beginning today's date, but I have it on very good authority (a little birdie at Corales yesterday) that the powers that be will be enforcing the curfew strictly nationwide. No excuses. Police commanders are under orders to fully enforce the curfew moving forward. Those that do not, will be removed from their positions.
This administration is not playing around.
Certainly appears they mean business.
This country is changing on multiple fronts.
The mortality rate of less than 0.2% really scares me. Toque de queda should be 24 hours a day!
If its not a Hoax ,then why do they need to lie about the stats ?? .. we find out slowly but surely that the Stats are completely fudged ..

Whenever these tragic events occur, many complain that the local authorities do not do MORE to warn/advise the public of hazardous conditions that may exist.
It has been advised recently that currents along the northern tier have been harsher than usual. What should these government agents have done differently?
I believe a tourist drowning in unsafe water conditions is more detrimental to tourism, as opposed to the government authorities removing surfers from the shore, and chaise loungers from the shore line during unsafe bathing conditions.
I wish there was a video of what Mrs. T was doing before he decided to film his "boots on the ground" footage, complete with ignorant commentary.

I have seen the police give many people a break, all from my second story balcony close to the intersection going into a barrio. They give people a good half an hour after the curfew deadline to get home or off the streets. Everyone knows the rules but they play games with the cops and every once in a while they loose.
I'm not saying the mortality rate is high .... I wish there was no curfew ... but the virus is definitely real... its not a hoax
