I still receive some email notifications even though I unchecked the boxes

I am still receiving SOME email notifications even though I unchecked both the boxes in my preferences about receiving emails.
Only replies to my post to "Pre-marital assets" ends up in my email. The other threads I started do not end up in my email
Any reason why?

You have to subscribe to a thread. Once you do, you will get a notice for the next post - not every post thereafter.
