I see that here are many old posts but no so many new ones. I am researching Dr. Cabral. I found at another forum that he had 4 cases of malpractice but his name is on sodocipre's page as an active member. How can i research this kind of information? I do know 2 people that had surgeries with him but research is more than just 2 people. I have also read about Dr. Hernandez Pizzoglio, would like more info about him too. Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

He's a great choice for breast surgery and liposuction/liposculture. I have personally seen the results from multiple patients, and they are excellent.
I can not comment on any other procedures, because I have not personally seen results.

Ok, just came back from DR and my girlfriends both got their tummy tucks and breat lifts. They are both very happy with the results and the lack of pain they have now. They just feel pressure at the waist (b/c of the closing of the muscles for the tucks) but other than that, they are painless - and HAPPY!
They wanted 3 procedures, but he said he didnt want to be hasty, so after he got their blood work he decided that he didnt want to take the risk and do too much and he actually refunded some of the money! That won me over big time... There are some that will hack away as long as you let them.
I met the surgeon and his team and was able to visit the facilities - which I will recommend to anyone. The clinic was clean, beautiful and state of the art. The doctor was knowleageable, nice, very professional and speaks English.

Hi Blondii - if you read the thread not only for the contact number but also for the other info in it (ie. second opinions, more than one meeting with the docs, know where to go and what to do, etc) then I really dont have anything else to add.

I actually got in touch with Dr. Cabral today, I been trying like the past 2 weeks but he informed me that the office number has been changed.
Well here's my experience with him... First off, he doesn't speak alot of spanish. So I informed him of the procedures I would done (Which is Lipsuction to my Abdomen, Waist, Back and Augmentation via. Micro Fat Grafting to my Buttock) I was also considering doing Brest Augmentation but I'm still undecided. He informed me that the price goes by how much you weigh and your age. I told informed him I weigh 130 and I'm 21 years old. I'm not fat and saggy! So he told me the price for the Lipo/Fat Transfer would be $4,300 and with the Breast Augmentation would be $6,300. I asked him if they had a hospital or somewhere I can stay at for my time there due to the fact that I have no family over there (in the dominican republic) He told me it would be $100 every day I stay at the place.
Honestly, Off the back, I felt like he was bull****ting me just because I was refer to him from my friend's mom who had a tummy tuck, breast lift, and butt lift done by him in november and was only charged like thousand something I don't remember the exact amount but I know it wasn't more than 3 thousands. Sooo I had my mother call him (Which my mother speaks spanish) so my mom calls speaks to him everything that I told him but in spanish (which I dont speak spanish but I understand.) He tells my mother it would be $1,700 for the Lipo with Fat Transfer and $2,300 for the Breast Augmentation. So do the math.
He was going to charge me an extra $2,600 for the Lipo/Fat Transfer.
and he would have charged me the same price for the Breast Augmentation.
I didn't understand why he would give my mother a different price from me when we both told him the same information only in a different language.
I was told that he was an honest, respect and humble person so I can't believe he gave my mother a different price. I'm guessing since I don't speak any spanish, he probably thought he could take me like a sucker and gain a couple thousand! But he was sadly mistaken cause Im far from a sucker.
So this is my experience with Dr. Hector Cabral. Which I regret to inform that it was not a pleasant & happy experience.
If there is anyone that can recommend another doctor (in d.r.) that is a good, honest and reliable doctor and is good at they're job. Please I would appreciated any suggestions!
Oh yeah and someone that you feel would not try to take advantage of the language barrier.

First of all, in the DR there are no price tags on anything. Some Dominicans make up prices for everything depending on how ignorant you are.
Tourists who don't speak spanish are particularly vulnerable to price gouging.
Second of all, for the price you were quoted you could have the work done at a reputable teaching hospital in NYC for thousands less.
These guys are top-rated plastic surgeons who have lucrative Park Avenue practices but do procedures at teaching hospitals.
This is all besides the fact that you are too young to have such procedures done, but that's your call, not mine.
For what you are considering doing I would give Mount Sinai Hospital on 5th Avenue and 97th Street a call if you live anywhere near NYC.
And if not maybe you have a friend you can stay with until you recuperate.
