I no longer sleep--I just read/post on DR1...

I totally thought of "the baker" as---ummm--somebody in--"the hot place, where Jerry would be surprised to arrive---and be baked".

another guitly/shameful giggle...knowing I am not only heartless and irreverant, but also STUPID!

Oops--I'm showing a few too many true colors...

still funny, none the less. And totally lends credence to my question about blonde jokes on another thread! I gotta go to sleep before I reveal any more stupid "secrets". Nighty night!

The Tammy, with her Tears on the Pillow........oh what a widow

is she actually a widow?

what does she have to do with falwell?

she is about 65 lbs now and about ready to die of lung cancer.

I still dont see the joke here...if it is there it has to be weak.

the atheist is reaching I think

Here, let me try!

Laurapasinifan, Jerry Falwell was one of the people who brought the Jim Baker scandal to light. That?s why.

:tired:

Okay, so it?s funnier at 2 in the morning when I should be sleeping.

Also, probably funnier (though in a sick, disturbed way) if you have seen the ugly underbelly of the religious right.

In all probability JF is in glory right now and so shocked :surprised to see who else ?made it in? he doesn?t have time to give a fig about our shenanigans.

Hope he took time to learn to merengue!

It is a skill he will surely need in heaven!

I understand merengue is the official dance in heaven...

Bob, it's a play on words, and johne explained it to you.

The Kid can predict some posters' occupations based on their "sense" of humor.

.

if that was the basis of the joke then it would work when Bakker died...not when Falwell dies...

Falwell being the one who "cooked" James Bakker.

besides Bakker is still alive...right?

so how will he meet his "baker"...

anyway, I have already spent too much time on this.

my occupation isnt a dreamer, thats for sure.

I am more than willing to give you another shot ....come back with better material

the point of the joke I think is that " if he is cremated he will meet his baker"

if you have to explain a joke it's no longer funny

that part was obvious...and not very funny...I was thinking there had to be an underlying catch.....

I am going to have to post a real joke , so he knows what one looks like ha ha ha

Thank you!

if you have to explain a joke it's no longer funny
...Finally, someone said it! Thanks AnnaC.

As that Hustler dude might have said, "Eat dust, Jerry Fartwell."
And I'll reiterate: "Damn, Kid. You're good!"
