Ikea has restored its online sales on Saturday after the local Consumer Protection Agency (ProConsumidor) ordered these to close on Friday. The company announced on Saturday that the online store and parcel and transportation services have been restored.
ProConsumidor had suspended the services of Ikea and Cuesta that were offering online sales arguing that these are suspended during the National State of Emergency that has only authorized essential services to operate. Anina del Castillo, director of ProConsumidor, had said that companies that sell furniture, appliances and other household items are not authorized to market their products either in person or until during the duration of the state of emergency.
