What other islands did .you visit on the cruise from La Romana?

Well maybe, a lady friend wanted to go and see. So she took a cruise to Amber Cove. About 12 miles east of Luperon. I think a six day round trip. Get off the boat buy stufff in small town. Send a card. Go home. There may be better ones but remember where they're taking you. Tourist/cruise line owned towns.
I have no experience with cruise ships. I have my own. I do know they ruined most of the Bahamas doing that. Every cove and sheltered anchorage used by cruisers taken over by mega buck corporations. Growth ain't always progress. Not to mention the enviromental damage they often do. Last week one (accidently) dumped 20,000 gallons of sewage overboard.
