Desbaratado means overworked. I consider my self Dominican from Santo Domingo and I will never tell my employer that I am desbaratado.
I work in the field using trains and buses, when I came home I call my sister and tell her "Estoy desbaratada, me duele todo el cuerpo" only when I am super tired.
Here in the Bronx I hear it all the times among Dominicans. They can say "Di una trabaja, estoy desbaratao. Or when you clean the house from top to bottom, you say "Di una limpia, estoy desbarata"
Will I say it to my employer? NO. That means he is overworking me.
