I bought some Johnsonville Brown Sugar and Honey link sausages.
I cooked them in a skillet. Friggin' delicious.
But on the instructions it said they could be cooked in an air fryer.
Can anyone tell me if this does a good job and are they browned?
I don't yet own an air fryer

It is said that in old age, food replaces sexual activity........Love

Certainly I'm NOT implying that this is true in your case. :D
What's life if one can not enjoy the occasional debauchery of a good breakfast?
Mangos for tomorrow's breakfast.

I am often drawn to the sausage display in my local grocery store.
One glance at the salt and fat content has me running for the hills.
In order to satisfy my cravings, I have taken to purchasing ground pork.
Mix in salt, pepper, fennel seeds, paprika and some crushed red pepper flakes
Form into patties and freeze.
Et voila!
Always ready when temptation comes calling and soooo much healthier.
Yum.
Burp.

If you gave me an exact recipe for that I'd sure give it a try.

Come on JD...
You seem to be a guy that knows your way around the kitchen.
A pinch of this and a pinch of that.
Play around with it.
Make it your own.
Not enough salt?
Add a little more on the next one.
Not piquante enough?
Increase the pepper flakes.
Can't taste the fennel.
Add more.
Fennel flavor too strong?
Add less.
Gee... I forgot to mention I also add some thyme but it all depends on my mood.
Most importantly...

Enjoy!

If you gave me an exact recipe for that I'd sure give it a try.
My mom's is this:
1 tbs of sage (she uses fresh)
2 tsp thyme (again she uses fresh)
1 tsp fennel seeds
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 lbs ground pork
She had added maple syrup sometimes, and sometimes a bit of uncooked bacon.

I am not a big sausage eater but hers is pretty good. She started making this for my dad years ago, way back when we were little. Said she got the recipe from my grandmother. I would be tempted to try ground turkey, but that's just me.

No - No to turkey. It would be horrible.
Sausage is meant to be pork and anything else is just posing

I'm goin' for this one and adding some smoked bacon from BRAVO!
What?
A sausage spice/herb blend without fennel and paprika?
Blasphemy.
The addition of MSG?
And of cumin?
No thank you.
If I were you, I'd stick with keepcoming's blend.
Far more authentic.
But then again...different strokes.
Like I said...
Experiment, switch it up and make it your own.
Above all...
Have fun.

Maybe if it's home made, but I bought some Butterball turkey sausage and was pretty disappointed. Tasted more like a hotdog than sausage.

I recently tried some chicken sausage. 🤮

I know it’s healthier, but not worth wasting the calories. And the one I bought was made at the butcher shop, so I can only imagine how bad the commercial ones are.

I need to get a nice cast iron skillet. I know they sell them in Price Smart but it would be cheaper for me to order off ebay and swallow the shipping. nothing like sausage and eggs in an cast iron skillet.
It's not the same in a 'no-stick'. What a joke that no-stick false advertising is.
