In search of excellent tailor/dress maker

I have a long evening dress in silk that needs some repair work done to it. Maybe I am even considering to alter it from a long dress to a coctail dress.
Either way, it has sentimental value to me and I want to be able to wear on some special occasion so I need to find some body who can work with silk and has couture knowledge.

I am willing to spend a weekend in SDQ or PC or wherever on the Island if necessary for fitting so doesn't really matter where there is a good tailor to be found, he/she just has to be very good in it.

Find a Casa de Novia. Dominicans are very fussy about their fancy wedding attire. I doubt there is any tailoring challenge they can't meet.

Just go to one and ask fora sample of their work.
