Yesterday at Salsa Festival at Barclays Center, once again, just like in 27th of February, I saw the Dominican flag being flown or shown (this case) incorrectly.

Please spread the word that the blue square is suppose to be on the left when the DR flag is being flown.

I have seen many houses and businesses showing the flag with the red square on the left. This is wrong, wrong, wrong - unless we are at war.

Most likely the flag was displayed correctly when they took the photo or made the image, but then subject that to mirror view and everything looks backwards. Many times you can’t tell an image has been mirror viewed, except when there are written words that look backward too.

If it is flying with the center crest facing up it is impossible to fly it wrong.
You are correct bob!

But here is a Dominican international singer, playing in NYC to an international audience, and he or his people can not ensure that the flag is displayed properly … come on!

I would understand if we are talking about doña María en la esquina en el barrio. But even then, we owe it to ourselves to correct doña María.

Rather than refer to "left" or "right", look at which square is on top of the "hoist" side. Blue will be on top if done correctly. Depending on your perspective, the hoist side may be on the left or right. In that photo, it's clear the hoist side is on the right, and it is indeed correct.

That’s the rear view of the flag which essentially is the i age you get when mirror view an image.
