Walking is 4 or 5 blocks. If you go out for a night on the town and head back late, maybe you will feel the walk. However, do know that many who live here walk to restaurants and Playero daily. A Dominican grocery is right across the street, as is Bologna and a handful of other restaurants. Plus, the development is close to opening the front, with two restaurants on site planned.
So, no, you are not right in the middle of all the activity. You are on the close edge. If you see that as a minus, then consider a plus that you do not have all the noise, dangers, and riff raft that go along with being in the middle. It is all what you want from your stay, I guess.
What I didn't mention and what, ultimately, sold me in the end over all the other developments on the North Coast was the culture. No matter where you are from or how long you are staying, you will make friends here and feel welcome. I live alone. But I have made many friends from Europe to Canada to Russia and Eastern Europe, renters both short and long term and owners. It is a classy, friendly, welcoming place.
And the management is top notch.
Know that I was a home owner for 6 years prior to buying here. I searched all the North Coast before making a decision. I knew what to look for. And since buying, not one day has gone by that I regretted the move.
And, no, I do not sell real estate or work on a commission. I am just a satisfied resident.
