For Fedex envelope from Santo Domingo to NJ next day it is around $10,000 pesos. For 3 day it is around $5100 pesos.
Wow, when and why prices increased that much? I used FedEx a few years ago to send documents to Europe for 70 dollars. And it was like from 40 to 70 to US depending on location. For Fedex envelope from Santo Domingo to NJ next day it is around $10,000 pesos. For 3 day it is around $5100 pesos.
Those are the prices as of last month when we sent some documents. From NJ to Santo Domingo next day was around $115.00 and 2nd day around $76.00. Fed Ex has never been cheap to and from the DR/USA. We have been sending documents this way for quite a while and it is always costly. I should add that it is pretty much the same price sending to/from the DR and our home in the Western USA.Wow, when and why prices increased that much? Well I have used FedEx to send documents to Miami and other locations in Florida for many years before Covid, and also from Miami to SD too, and it was not that expensive. Always was delivered next day with one stop in Puerto Rico, according to the tracking. Those are the prices as of last month when we sent some documents. Ooooops! Yes, 9000 pesos. I checked their online calculator previously and it's 6000 to Miami. Not sure where in NY the documents were being sent. Price depends in ZIP code.you probably put too much zeros. Call Fedex, maybe it will be 50 to 70 dollars to send their standard envelope with documents to NY. But not 90,000 pesos, for that money you can fly to NY and back in business class and deliver your documents yourself![]()
Many things have gone up 50%, some even 100%, since the pandemic due to inflation. All mail goes out from SD, so It's bound to be faster if you send it from the main office in SD. In my case, it took a week by donkey express just to get from POP to the main office in SD.Well I have used FedEx to send documents to Miami and other locations in Florida for many years before Covid, and also from Miami to SD too, and it was not that expensive. And as I mentioned before, I used it to send documents to Europe for about $70, but that was before Covid too. I always used their central office in SD (Av. de los Proceres) for sending.
Maybe prices skyrocketed after Covid? Anyway, thanks for letting me know how expensive it is now. I will continue with INPOSDOM's EMS for sure.
GB, is this tracking info from the website Bob mentioned in his post #34? https://parcelsapp.com/en/carriers/upu I have never used INPOSDOM, but this makes it look attractive for sending items. I would use it from POP, so I know that would add a couple days maybe.Well, here's my update: I had to send a package to Tasmania (that's a remote location in Australia, not even on the mainland). Sent from INPOSDOM's central office in SD by EMS.

What I received from the IMPOSDOM is totally different(?). I sent it out on the 24th of September and that's not even shown. One week just to get from POP to SD and then two weeks to get to Charlotte, NC. 2000 pesos for a letter:Well, here's my update: I had to send a package to Tasmania (that's a remote location in Australia, not even on the mainland). I have posted the tracking of the same tracking number from Australia Post page, because it's more detailed (Australia post actually delivered the package to the addressee).I wonder why the difference between Cavoks tracking info and what Glenn Burke posted?
This is NOT EMS, you paid for cheaper and much slower service, which is not even fully traceable, that's why you only see when it was sent and when it was delivered but nothing in between. What I received from the IMPOSDOM is totally different(?). YES! I would not even risk sending something with the other slower service. So based on your post, make sure your using EMS as opposed to the other slower service?
INPOSDOM doesn't have it's own tracking, what you see on their website is a tracking info from some third party service (probably the one from your link). You can use their tracking, or the tracking of the postal service that will actually deliver the package (USPS for US, Canada Post for Canada, DHL Paket for Germany, Parcel Force for UK, Australia Post for Australia, etc).GB, is this tracking info from the website Bob mentioned in his post #34? https://parcelsapp.com/en/carriers/upu I have never used INPOSDOM, but this makes it look attractive for sending items. This is what I have sent yesterday with EMS from Santo Domingo to Virginia, US. 21 pounds. Paid 5500 pesos. Imaging sending something of this size and weight with DHL or FedEx.have never used INPOSDOM, but this makes it look attractive for sending items. I would use it from POP, so I know that would add a couple days maybe.
I always send from their central office in SD, so you better ask people from POP about that, because I remember that somebody posted on this forum that it may add a couple of weeks by some kind of donkey express between POP and SD, I have no idea if that's true or not.I would use it from POP, so I know that would add a couple days maybe.
