Regarding transfer limits, I was told that the online transfer limit is US$ 30,000 per day. Probably different for Euros.

They allow up to US$50,000 or Euro equivalent. Cost US$45.00 and EUR$45.00 for Euros.

At 11AM I made an online transfer from BPD and the funds were in my USA account by 2PM (3hrs).

Here are a few other options for transferring money internationally.
(caveat - I have not used these to or from DR yet, but have done so between several other countries and never had any problems. Great rates and great service.)

* Revolut is a slightly different type of service than the other two, but thought some of you might find it useful nonetheless.

Yep i meant central bank...
The cost is 45$ unlike in the bank which is 55$ but they also charge 0.15 percent of the amount transferred.
