The National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to truck drivers illegally parking their vehicles on public roads, particularly along Las Américas and Luperón avenues in Greater Santo Domingo.
This directive comes in response to numerous citizen complaints on social media regarding the frequent obstruction of traffic by large trucks and freight trailers parked on sidewalks and roadways. The most recent incident involved a collision between a vehicle and a container placed in the middle of the Las Americas Expressway, highlighting the severe risks posed by the practice.
